This is the original pre-sketch I did for a memorial piece honoring a great hound. The finished piece is in ink. When I work on a commission I like to do a pre-sketch to get familiar with the image and help with muscle memory. Sometimes these go with the original finished artwork and sometimes they sit in my sketchbook.
